There has never been a more important time to make or update your Will and there are some life milestones when you should ensure you either have a Will or that your existing Will is up to date and meets your current wishes and requirements.

A Will is a legal declaration of an individual’s intentions as to how he or she wishes to dispose of their property after death. The legal process in dealing with your affairs will be easier and therefore less expensive.

There are many reasons why people make or update a Will.

For some, getting married, a divorce or having their first child is the occasion that prompts them to make their first Will.  It might be that circumstances have changed and an existing Will contains out of date wishes and intentions.

Don't overlook how important the selection and appointment of guardian(s) is and that it is one of the most difficult decisions for many parents. The chosen person or people have their own lives and their circumstances can change very quickly. You may have considered they were suitable because they were in a stable, loving relationship but that has ended in divorce. They may have decided to move away from the area they once lived in and have lost contact.
